Ah, the magic of horses! Has there ever been a more majestic animal? They are masters of strength and grace, drawing in both riders and admirers alike. With this, it’s no wonder that movies about these wonderful creatures always capture our hearts. One such movie is “Dream Horse,” which has been making waves since its release.
Based on a true story, “Dream Horse” details the journey of Jan Vokes (played by Toni Collette) as she tries to raise a foal for racing. It may seem like an ordinary plotline, but the movie’s heart-warming execution and charming characters make it stand out.
The movie begins by introducing us to Jan Vokes, a middle-aged woman who works at a local grocery store in Cefn Fforest. Her life is ordinary, uneventful, and perhaps even dull. But where there’s determination (and love), there’s always hope. Jan enlists the help of Brian (Owen Teale), a prominent horse trainer, to help her nurse Dream Alliance back to health. And so, with the support of her community and her never-say-die attitude, Jan brings Dream Alliance back to life.

Toni Collette’s portrayal of Jan Vokes is stunning – she perfectly captures the middle-aged woman’s grit, determination and love for Dream Alliance.
